Parker is finally here!

Long day and night but well worth it, as you read from my recent blogs had been to see the doctor for a check-up and were dilated by two, and he mentioned he could easily break my water. That night I had a weird feeling that it would be that night that we would be having Parker. So, we packed up all of our bags, and prepared ourselves in case we did end up going to the hospital. Around 1:00 am I woke up with hard contractions, and rolled over and woke up Ray complaining that they were not going away. To make a long story short after talking to my mom, and counting contractions we decided at 3:45 am to head to Willow Creek Women's Hospital. The nurse checked us out and asked the doctor on call (Dr. Reiter) if he wanted to admit us, and he said yes! By 6:00 am I had received my epidural and we had dilated to 3. By noon Dr. Reiter broke my water, and by that time we were dilated to around 5. The night went on very slow from there... Dr. Reiter went off call at 5:00 pm and we then had Dr. Cunningham take over. Both were very patient and respected that we did not want to have a c-section. Dr. Cunningham changed up a few things hoping that we would dilate further. Around 8 we were dilated to 8 and stayed that way until about 3:00 am the next morning. The nurse had already come in to warn us that if things didn't change for the better (baby move closer to pelvis and dilate to 10) we might have to resort to a c-section. By that time I was on patosin and they had increased the dose and within 30 minutes we went from an 8 to 10! It was a miracle from God, because otherwise we might have had to resort to the c-section. The labor took one push and he was out! It was incredible, it took him that long to decide to come out but when he did - he came out fast! Parker Ray Canode was born March 25, 2010 at 3:47 am at Willow Creek Women's Hospital. He was 21 inches long and his weight was 6 -11. He is a very healthy happy little boy! Below are some pictures from the night he came into the world.

We want to thank everyone that had us in there thoughts and prayers! We could not have done it without you all. Also, thank you to my parents, my brother, and Ray's dad for coming over to help during the pregnancy, it meant a lot that you were all there! Parker is an extremely lucky little boy to already have so many people that love him so much!
