Evan's Dedication

This Sunday was very special, we dedicated Evan to the Fellowship church. Several people were there in support of little Evan, he is definitely loved by many! Thank you to all of you that took the time to come to the service and share with us in such a special day. Above are some pictures from the event. It was a wonderful ceremony, and I have to pass on a book that the church gave to us as a gift. The title is "While you were Sleeping," by Anne Arkins and Gary Harrell. After reading through the book I am already thankful that it was given to me. If you have a child I strongly suggest you purchase the book, it will help you in so many ways to pray for your little one. It is short and sweet but full of amazing information for you!

Wine for Cystic Fibrosis

This Friday night we attended a wine tasting event, where the proceeds went to fund the cystic fibrosis network. We were introduced to the project by the wonderful McFadden family. They have a young, talented, and extremely smart boy named Luke McFadden that has been living with Cystic Fibrosis since he was born. You might catch him on the Altima commercials! If you met him you would never guess anything was wrong with him, but after speaking with his mom you would soon find out that he is a very strong kid, stronger mentally than many adults. He is doing great with his treatment, and sometimes has hard days but always comes out with a smile on his face and ready to start another day! We were honored to attend the great event and look forward to next year! It was a great success and hope next year is even bigger! Our thoughts and prayers are with you Luke!
God Bless,
Michelle

Evan Rolled Over!!

I am so mad at myself... Ray and I were in the bedroom cleaning up and little Evan was on the bedroom floor practicing his tummy time and suddenly I looked over and he was one his back. So, I yelled at Ray to come watch as I placed him back on his stomach to try it again, and rather than going to get the video camera to catch it, we stood and watched him roll over for the second time. It took a little bit of cheering but he did it!The best part was watching his expression as we praised him for the roll over... lets just say if he talked he would have been saying "what's the big deal yall are weirding me out"! We were so excited but upset that we didn't catch it for the grandparents to watch. Hopefully we can catch him do it again very soon and put it on the blog for everyone to see. Hope all is well!
God Bless

First Day back at work and Evan's going to Day Care

Well today I went back to work, and honestly it felt great. I of course missed Ray and Evan tremendously, but it was great getting back to a schedule and feeling like I accomplished something in the day. Evan will be going to his first day of day care tomorrow. Ray was working out of the house so he volunteered to watch Evan today instead of having to take him to day care. It took a great deal of pressure off of me as well, since it gave me a chance to get organized and out of the house without having to worry about all three of us on the first day. Thanks goes out to everyone for words of encouragement throughout the day. Love you all... I will keep the pictures of Evan coming! He will be turning 11 weeks tomorrow - I can't believe it's gone by that quick. The last check up he was in the 97 percentile for weight and height. He weights 14 lbs and 25 1/4 inches long, and the check-up went great! I have to say watching him receive the shots was the saddest thing I have ever watched, next time I am going to be looking away!
God bless,
Michelle

Happy Valentine's Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day with the one's they love! We had a great weekend. We had to celebrate valentine's early with Evan, because Ray had planned a trip for us to go to San Diego to watch a supercross race and celebrate Valentine's together. Also, he wanted to be able to spend some one on one time with me before I went back to work. We flew out Friday early, and are still thanking my parents for coming up to babysit Evan for us. That night we got all dressed up and went out for a nice dinner (Sushi!!) and then a few drinks at a swanky little bar. Saturday was a day for Ray - we went to tour the MidWay and then headed early to watch Supercross!! Above are some pics from the weekend. Hope you enjoyed your weekend... we sure did! Thanks again mom and dad, it meant alot to us both!
