Infant Swim Rescue for Evan

Starting in January we started taking Evan every day of the week for ten minutes to his infant swim rescue class. They teach the children how to rescue themselves from drowning. At his age they teach him to float on his back, and roll to swim, then roll back over to float on his back, and repeating this sequence until he gets to the edge of the pool. Evan wasn't very excited to get in the water and do the lessons in the beginning but he soon got over the fear and did extremely well. Below are some videos from some of the lessons. By the end of the 21/2 month session he can now swim on his own, float on his back in full clothing. This helps us feel a little better since this summer we will be around the lake so much. If you are interested in finding a teacher for your kids you can goggle infant swim rescue which will take you to there sight and find a teacher near you. I highly recommend it, yes it does take time out of your schedule but it is a resource that I am very glad we used for Evan.
