Christmas is finally here!

Wow this year has flown by... I can't believe how fast Christmas has gotten here! We had a wonderful holiday season. It started with my parents coming up on December 23... which was my mom's birthday. We celebrated her birthday as soon as they arrived with presents, flowers and of course a cake with candles. Since, they got in so late we didn't get a chance to go out to dinner like we usually do but we still had a great time celebrating with her!
The next day of course was Christmas Eve, everyone seemed to need a lot of sleep because we all slept in until around 9:00, then it was time for the girls to go out and finish some last minute shopping and pick up Christmas lunch (since I don't cook) for Christmas day. The men stayed home watching football and taking care of little Evan. We finally returned home around 5:00 to hurry up and get ready to leave for the Christmas Eve service at fellowship. We went to the children's service just in case Evan got fussy, but he did great and the service was beautiful. After the service we returned home to watch Christmas movies and eat dinner. Christmas morning we awoke of course to stockings full and breakfast cooked. After eating breakfast and opening presents, my parents had to leave to go to Little Rock where my grandparents live. Ray's parents came in around 3:00 and we served up a late lunch and exchanged presents with them. Since his parents were sick when he was born this was the first time they actually got to hold him. Having Evan around sure made it a lot more enjoyable!! He seemed to enjoy it too, since now he is having to adjust back to not being held the entire day! After Ray's parents left, my sister, Ray and I relaxed around the house and watched some of the movies we all received for Christmas. On Friday Ray, Evan, Amanda, and I all packed up to go down to Little Rock. This was the first time my grandparents and Ray's grandmother had been introduced to little Evan. It was a delight introducing him to everyone for the first time. Now we have returned home to left overs, and a little bit of a messy house to clean up! But I can say it was all well worth the fuss. We had a wonderful Christmas Holiday, one of the best ever, and one we will never forget because it was of course our first Christmas with Evan! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and your New Year is just as exciting! Have a great one and be safe. God Bless! Michelle
