Updates on Parker

We have been home now a full day and two nights. So far so good. Evan loves helping with Parker - when Parker cries he goes and gets him his blanket or tries and gets him a ball and give it to him, it is so cute to watch. He still wants to hold him all the time. Parker is eating well, and sleeping pretty well thru the night except for eating and changing of diapers. I can't complain! Below are some pictures from some friends of ours that surprised us by bringing us a home cooked meal for dinner, and Evan's favorite teacher at his daycare stopped by to bring Parker a new little outfit along with introducing herself to him. Someone else special came up this weekend and visited little Parker - it was his aunt Mandy and her boyfriend Geoffrey! We were so glad to see them and we can't wait till Mandy comes back up for Easter next weekend! Thank you all for stopping by the food was Delicious and very helpful, and I can't wait till Parker can fit into his new outfit! Also, thank you all for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers! We are very fortunate to have such sweet little healthy baby boys! God Bless you all and I will continue to try and keep blogging!

This is the only picture I have so far of Evan on St. Patrick's day. There are more to come but I wanted to show how cute is St. Patrick's day shirt was! That day at school they had green day, ate all green foods, and played with green toys. It was so funny and cute to see them all in there green. I hope you enjoy the picture!
God Bless,

Have a safe and happy St. Patrick's Day!

Parker is finally here!

Long day and night but well worth it, as you read from my recent blogs had been to see the doctor for a check-up and were dilated by two, and he mentioned he could easily break my water. That night I had a weird feeling that it would be that night that we would be having Parker. So, we packed up all of our bags, and prepared ourselves in case we did end up going to the hospital. Around 1:00 am I woke up with hard contractions, and rolled over and woke up Ray complaining that they were not going away. To make a long story short after talking to my mom, and counting contractions we decided at 3:45 am to head to Willow Creek Women's Hospital. The nurse checked us out and asked the doctor on call (Dr. Reiter) if he wanted to admit us, and he said yes! By 6:00 am I had received my epidural and we had dilated to 3. By noon Dr. Reiter broke my water, and by that time we were dilated to around 5. The night went on very slow from there... Dr. Reiter went off call at 5:00 pm and we then had Dr. Cunningham take over. Both were very patient and respected that we did not want to have a c-section. Dr. Cunningham changed up a few things hoping that we would dilate further. Around 8 we were dilated to 8 and stayed that way until about 3:00 am the next morning. The nurse had already come in to warn us that if things didn't change for the better (baby move closer to pelvis and dilate to 10) we might have to resort to a c-section. By that time I was on patosin and they had increased the dose and within 30 minutes we went from an 8 to 10! It was a miracle from God, because otherwise we might have had to resort to the c-section. The labor took one push and he was out! It was incredible, it took him that long to decide to come out but when he did - he came out fast! Parker Ray Canode was born March 25, 2010 at 3:47 am at Willow Creek Women's Hospital. He was 21 inches long and his weight was 6 -11. He is a very healthy happy little boy! Below are some pictures from the night he came into the world.

We want to thank everyone that had us in there thoughts and prayers! We could not have done it without you all. Also, thank you to my parents, my brother, and Ray's dad for coming over to help during the pregnancy, it meant a lot that you were all there! Parker is an extremely lucky little boy to already have so many people that love him so much!

Parker is on his way!

1 o'clock this morning contractions started, we headed to the hospital at around 3... The nurse checked us out and determined that we were in labor!! So now I'm sitting here waiting for the epidural. My parents are on there way, and rays dad will be headed sometime today. Evan is asleep on the coach. As soon as the epidural is in the doctor said he is going to break my water and we will go from there. Ill update the blog as the day goes on but for now everything is going well, and Parker should be here pretty soon! Keep us in your prayers.
God bless,
Michelle

Update on Parker!

We had a doctors appointment today and found out we are dilated by two effaced all the way. The doctor said he could have broke my water at the appointment and I would have no problems... But we liked the idea of having perhaps one more night to get ready for little Parker! He told us that we are very close and to make sure our bags are packed. So of course we came home packed and prepared for the hospital just in case. I took perhaps my last bath for a while and made sure all the laundry was clean and dishwasher empty.. You know if you have been there it makes you feel better to know it's all done for you when you come home. I will keep you all posted should anything happen tonight. Please keep us in your prayers, pray that Parker is a healthy little baby boy, my labor goes well, and Evan adjusts as well as possible to the new changes that are coming! Thank you all!
God bless,
Michelle

Parker Update!

We had an appointment yesterday and not much has changed. So far we are dilated by two. Dr. Clouatre is headed to Europe today and will return on the 29, so we have scheduled to induce by the 30th if little Parker doesn't decide to come before then. Please pray that everything goes well, and that he is born a healthy little boy, and that the pregnancy goes as smooth as it did with Evan. I hope everyone is doing great! God bless and have a great week. My last day of officially working is Friday. I will keep you updated when new things arise!
God Bless,
Michelle

Happy Birthday Jamie!

Last Tuesday, March 9 Jamie celebrated her 28th birthday. Several of us met up at Mojitos to celebrate the big day! I would have bought her a cake, but everyone that knows Jamie knows that she eats cupcakes but does not like cake... They still were cute. Here are some pictures from the night.

Parker is almost here!

So we are currently 2 centimeters dialated. The doctor said if Parker decides to come that he will not stop the delivery. I am still working, next week will be my last week. I am trying to get everything organized, but it seems like I still have lots to do, but so little time. This next month is going to be a busy month, but we will get thru it! We can't wait till he is here, Evan doesn't really know what is going on, but I think he senses something is different. The due date is March 28, I feel great and hope he decides to stay in there until then so that I have a little more time to get organized. Say a prayer for us that he is a healthy, happy little baby boy. God has already blessed us with such a talented, smart, and happy little boy, and hope and pray that Parker will come into this world just as healthy. God bless you all - have a great weekend!

We will keep you updated and I will try and post immediately a picture and details of Parker as soon as he gets here!

Motorcross with Daddy!

Here is Evan with his daddy on the bike, and some of the balls that we have to bring along to keep him busy while Ray rides the bike. I thought it was so funny seeing him carrying both of them at the same time. Enjoy

Valentine's Day and Maya and Evan

Here are some pictures from Evan at his daycare Valentine's Day party and us eating out the weekend of Valentine's day. I know the bib is a little girly but I couldn't find any "boyish" looking bibs that said Valentine's day on them....

We went out to eat the other night with Chad and Monika and Maya is now old enough to sit in a highchair. I had to take a picture of them sitting beside each other, they were so cute.

Parker's shower

My very best friends put a sprinkle together for me to help celebrate bringing Parker into the world. It was such a nice sprinkle, and Randi's house looked beautiful! I received so many nice things, and it was very nice to see everyone and get to catch up! Thank you all so much for taking the time to put it together for me, Ray and I appreciate it so much! Love you all and thank you again!
