Great to have friends!

Last Sunday Randi and Kayla brought over dinner for Ray and me, and to see little Evan. Jamie decided to come out as well, it was so great to see all of them. I have not had the chance to drive down to Fayeteville to visit, and the last time we saw each other was at the hospital when I had Evan. Kayla finds out in February what she will be having and Randi is due in March! I can't wait because then Evan will have lots of friends to play with! Above are a few picks from that night! Thank you all so much! Love you! Michelle

Oh, and the other other pics of Evan... well I had to put those on there because Ray and I thought that outfit was adorable! We got a good laugh out of it!

Christmas is finally here!

Wow this year has flown by... I can't believe how fast Christmas has gotten here! We had a wonderful holiday season. It started with my parents coming up on December 23... which was my mom's birthday. We celebrated her birthday as soon as they arrived with presents, flowers and of course a cake with candles. Since, they got in so late we didn't get a chance to go out to dinner like we usually do but we still had a great time celebrating with her!
The next day of course was Christmas Eve, everyone seemed to need a lot of sleep because we all slept in until around 9:00, then it was time for the girls to go out and finish some last minute shopping and pick up Christmas lunch (since I don't cook) for Christmas day. The men stayed home watching football and taking care of little Evan. We finally returned home around 5:00 to hurry up and get ready to leave for the Christmas Eve service at fellowship. We went to the children's service just in case Evan got fussy, but he did great and the service was beautiful. After the service we returned home to watch Christmas movies and eat dinner. Christmas morning we awoke of course to stockings full and breakfast cooked. After eating breakfast and opening presents, my parents had to leave to go to Little Rock where my grandparents live. Ray's parents came in around 3:00 and we served up a late lunch and exchanged presents with them. Since his parents were sick when he was born this was the first time they actually got to hold him. Having Evan around sure made it a lot more enjoyable!! He seemed to enjoy it too, since now he is having to adjust back to not being held the entire day! After Ray's parents left, my sister, Ray and I relaxed around the house and watched some of the movies we all received for Christmas. On Friday Ray, Evan, Amanda, and I all packed up to go down to Little Rock. This was the first time my grandparents and Ray's grandmother had been introduced to little Evan. It was a delight introducing him to everyone for the first time. Now we have returned home to left overs, and a little bit of a messy house to clean up! But I can say it was all well worth the fuss. We had a wonderful Christmas Holiday, one of the best ever, and one we will never forget because it was of course our first Christmas with Evan! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and your New Year is just as exciting! Have a great one and be safe. God Bless! Michelle

Evan hanging out...

Well not much new - this week was pretty productive. Ray is trying to sure up everything for the year end, and me as well. We both took a trip with Evan down to Fort Smith to get some of the last minute things done before the year end gets here. This weekend was little Evan's first time to go out to dinner officially. We were invited to go out to dinner to Pesto Cafe this Saturday night with a few of our good friends and of course could not find a baby sitter (my sister) last minute. So they all told us to bring him along. He did great I fed him before we arrived and he sat content (asleep) until we were getting ready to leave - and then everyone wanted to hold him anyway so it worked out great. It was wonderful seeing everyone again and celebrate the big exciting news that Chad and Monika Hatfield are expecting July 15! We are so excited for you both can't wait till the little one is here! I know you will be wonderful parents. Above are a few pics from last night, and around the house, in the car and other places of Evan. I hope you all have a wonderful Merry Christmas with your family. Be safe driving and remember the true meaning of CHRISTmas! Love Michelle

Picture with Santa Clause!

Sunday we took Evan to the mall with us to pick a few more gifts up along with stopping by Santa Clause. I guess we wore him out because by the time we got to Santa Clause he was in a deep sleep. We tried to wake him up, but didn't succeed. The picture still came out very cute. I had to take a picture of it with my camera and then load in onto the computer because our scanner isn't working so well, but I thought the grandparents would enjoy! Have a Merry Christmas! Michelle

Christmas Parties begin!

This weekend was very busy for us, and it all started on Thursday. Thursday afternoon we had photographs taken of Evan for his announcement and for our Christmas card. Afterwards we headed to the McBride's home for a get together for Curt Davis's birthday - it was great getting to see everyone again, but we had not planned for as late of a night as we had. After picking up something for dinner we finally arrived home and got to bed around 12:00. Friday night we had the annual Christmas party for Ray's company at Bordino's. It seemed as if everyone had a great time, especially those that got home at 3:00 am, we had to turn in early so that I could go home and feed Evan and put him to bed. Saturday night we went to the lovely home of Chad and Monika Hatfield for their Christmas party. The house was beautifully decorated, and a great turn out. It seems to grow larger every year. Needless to say we had a busy but exciting end of the week and weekend. It was great seeing everyone and catching up before the Christmas season, we had a great time bringing it in! Above are a few pics from the parties over the weekend. I hope you all had as wonderful weekend as we did, and are all caught up and ready for Christmas, it's only a week and a half away! I hope you all have a great start to the week, and God Bless! Michelle

A few pictures of Evan around the house...

This week we had our first doctors appointment and the doctor gave Evan a clean bill of health. I don't know what it is about public places or new adventures but for some reason every time we do something new or go somewhere new Evan has a habit of peeing when he gets the chance "not in the diaper but on someone or something." When the nurse was weighing him he took full advantage of having his diaper off and let it flow - all over the scale and wall. We had a great laugh - and before we left had to change outfits entirely, good thing we had an extra set. Either way we were happy with the first check-up and like the doctor that was recommended. I have attached a few more pictures of Evan just around the house and times when I had the camera available and got picture happy. Thought the grandparents would appreciate extra pictures. I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week, God bless Michelle
