35 weeks and counting.... 6 weeks to go!

Last Thursday we had another two week check-up - measuring "perfectly" as the Doctor would say and gaining the exact amount of weight at each weigh in so far. His heartbeat is typically ranging around 150 and still very active! The next appointment we will begin checking to see if I am starting to dialate. Ray is getting very anxious and ready for little Evan to arrive. I would post pictures of the nursery but there is still not much to see - we do have the bed, unfortunately it is still in the box waiting to be put together, the curtains, and bedding will hopefully be completing by the end of the month. After all of this is together and put up I will take pictures and post them so everyone that keeps asking can see them!
The pictures attached are from the game this weekend... we had a great time except for loosing too Ole Miss, oh well it gave all of us a chance to spend time together and put on a great tailgate/party! 34 Weeks and counting... Baby Shower Time!

Well this weekend we had our last baby shower, and time is really flying by now!  I think it is actually becoming real for Ray now, especially since he is having to put together all of the baby items (and has learned that reading the directions makes it easier).  For me I can't believe it's almost time for little Evan to come into this world.  I think this weekend really summed it all up for us since it was our last baby shower before the big day.  Our friends Chad and Monika Hatfield, Brian and Christa Means, and Chris and Angie Kestner put together a wonderful baby shower for us!  We got a chance to see many friends that we haven't seen in a while, and unfortunately got to watch the hogs get beat once again... even though they were ahead most of the game!  Either way, we had a great time catching up with everyone, and Ray loved all of the new clothes and toys Evan received!  

After the showers it always makes me so thankful for the friends and family that show so much love and support for us both.   We are so blessed to have friends that take the time and money to put on such a nice event.  Thank you all for putting the shower together for us, it meant so much to us both, and thanks goes out to everyone that took there Saturday night to stop by and say hello!  We love you all and can't wait to introduce little Evan to you all!  Below are some of the pics from the shower.

33 Weeks...First Baby Shower...

October 5, Jamie Davis, Randi Johnson, Ginger Hillis, Kayla Malone, Lindsey Summers and my sister hosted my very first baby shower. It was wonderful to have everyone share in this special time - and having a chance to see many that I haven't had the chance to see in a while. We had a great time and received so many items for little Evan to be... if you looked at his closet you would think he is already spoiled rotten. Anyway, thank you all who stopped by to say hello it meant a lot to both Ray and me that you took the time out of your day to come celebrate with us. Also, thank you to all my very best of friends for throwing me such a beautiful shower. I can't thank you enough - you are wonderful friends! I should have pics soon - we tried limiting the cameras so I am waiting to receive them and as soon as I have them I will put them up for everyone to see. Also, regarding the last few posts.... obviously those were made by my husband he wanted to add some past and just recent pics of some of the things we have been up to that I did not post on the blog. So, I hope you enjoyed those... at least you will get a great laugh at them. I thought it was cute when he showed me what he had been up to. Either way, as soon as I get pics I'll be sure to post them up until then keep smiling!

32 Weeks and counting... 2 months to go!

I know its been a while since I have blogged I guess I really didn't feel like I had much to say or add, but finally I have some new items. Today I had my 32 week check up - everything looks great and Evan is growing according to plan, and after my checkup I went to my 4D ultrasound appointment. I had my sister and Jamie go with me since Ray is out of town on a hunting trip with Trevor Coffee (which by the way he is on his last hunt of the trip and still not killed a deer). The doctor had the ultrasound going for apporximately 30 minutes and of that 30 minutes I think Evan moved a few times. This is totally opposite of what he does all day - we all thought he must have been camera shy, but we were able to get a few good shots. He constantly wanted to put his had up to his face which blocked some great pictures - but we did get some good body shots and a few of his face. The ultrasound also showed that he had 10 chubby little fingers and a healthy little body, and still a little boy! Attached, are the pics from the ultrasound hope you enjoy them. On another subject we will be tailgating this weekend at the deck and cooking out after the game - anyone and everyone is invited to stop by!
